PrE-sChOoL!!!!

OK, so I am a MAJOR slacker. (i'll admit it) ( I am the worlds BIGGEST procrastinator )and I've put off getting Coltin registered for pre-school till NOW!! What?! Doesnt school start in like a week? YUP!! Some Queen Creek Schools have already started. Part of the reason is that I didn't think we could afford it( thats y we didnt put him in school last year) And I know what you're going to say, "You can't put a price on your child's education." blah blah blah blah blah. I KNOW . Thats Y i told Bo that we HAD to put him in this year, even if it means sacrificing other items. Well almost 2 weeks or so ago I got something in the mail from AHCCCS (mercy care, our insurance ) and they had a flyer of info for the Head Start pre-school program. So I call them and they are still accepting applications, and I need to go down to the main office and apply for Coltin. They gave me a list of items that I need to bring with me to prove that we live where we say with live, make the amount of money i saw we make and Coltin's immunizations, birth cert. etc etc etc. OOPS!!! I havent had Coltin in for his immunizations for over a year!!! YIKES!!!

So I call the dr this morning. They got us in, but were only able to give him 5 that he needed right now, and to come back in another 6 weeks or so to get the rest of them caught up. (Thats how far behind on them we are) Coltin went BALISTIC!! I felt so bad for him and when she was "trying" to give him one in particular (on his arm) she ahd to poke him like 3 times cuz he kept moving it. I felt soooo bad for him. Even now(two hours later) he keeps telling me. "Mom, I dont like getting shots, they hurt." Poor guy. I realize now that I shouldnt put things off till the last minute. and hope and pray that they will still accept him into the Head Start program. ( I simply cannot afford to pay for school) But I WILL if I HAVE to.

So, when Conner wakes from his nap, then we are headed down to the Head Start main office, and "applying" for Coltin. Hopefully he will get in. He's already sooo excited to go to school. Last week when we were on our way home from church, Coltin says, "Daddy, I am going to go to pre-school and I am going to learn EVERYTHING!!!" he really wants to and NEEDS to go this year.
