So, we were on our way to the grocery store yesterday and Coltin (out of the blue) asks me, "Mom, when am I going to turn 16?" me-"What? Why?, coltin- "just because I want to know."
me- "Well if you are 4 1/2 right now, so then in 11 1/2 years you'll be 16 years old." "Do you want to know when so you can drive?" coltin"No" Do you want to know so then you can kiss girls?" Coltin- "ewe No way!"me- "You dont want to kiss girls?" coltin-"No, thats gross" me- "But Coltin, you already kiss girls, you kiss me and nana and aunt cadie and grama" "So Coltin when you turn 16 you can kiss 16 girls, okay?" "Because you're 4 now you kiss 4 girls, and when you turn 5 you can kiss one more girl, and then when you turn 6 you can kiss 1 more girl"
I cant remember but I think that was basically the end of that conversation.
So this morning we are sitting down at the table eating breakfast and Coltin (out of the blue again) says, "Mom, I dont want to kiss girls, I ONLY want to kiss boys" me- "No, Coltin, boys cannot kiss boys, boys can only kiss girls, UNLESS it's your daddy or g-pa or papa or cousins(while you are little) Coltin- "So I can only kiss my boy cousins?" Me- "thats right' "Cuz kissing boys is VERY VERY naughty" Coltin- "Ok"
Oh my. Where did I go wrong? I'm pretty sure though, once he gets into kindergarten and what not that he'll start changing his mind on who he wants to kiss. But geez.
(Cadie, Nana- anyone that sees him regularly- DO NOT mention any of this to him, you know how he gets embarrassed about stuff and I dont want him to know that I told people about this)

Oh, don't worry about him, Luta! All boys think girls are very gross when they're little. Boys are cool, boys are tough, boys are bros! He won't want to kiss boys when he gets older.
