I am sooo bad. Christmas Eve I took the boys to my parents house so that we could make cookies for Santa. I brought my camera to capture the action and the fun time, well somehow I misplaced it.(at my parents house) So I was unable to get cookie making pics and also Christmas Day Pics. I am soooo mad. We were able to video tape a little of our Christmas at home.
So we had a most wonderful Christmas. I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas(well maybe ONE thing) BUT it was just a fantastic day.
It started out at 7:15 AM. ( I was really surprised it was that late, BOTH boys are usually awake by 6 AM. Plus I was up till 1:45 making things and finishing up things. So when Coltin got up I figured we might as well "get this show on the road" (as I mentioned to Bo- he's NOT a morning person AT ALL) So I got Conner up and we went to see if Santa had visited our house. Of course he did. (remind me to tell you of a book I got a few days before Christmas) The boys got way too many toys( I'm not doing that again- it gets really expensive, I think I am going to try Keri's way next year) anyway..., Then I took the boys to my parents house (8 AM) so that we could call Uncle Cory who is in the Campinas Brazil mission. It took forever to get the number right(just like Mothers Day) and when we do get ahold of him, he tells us to call back in 1/2 hour, so that he could finish his Christmas Lunch(thats the main big meal in Brazil- lunch) So, we called back and everyone got a chance to talk to him(except Coltin, he was the only one who didnt want to)
Since my bro. Chris had to work on Christmas(Southwest Ambulance) he asked if we could do the whole presents and breakfast thing on Saturday. So we did. So after Cory's call I come home to find my one and only present from Bo(the only thing I asked for) GUITAR HERO WORLD TOUR!!!! I was and still am sooo excited to have it. We instantly opened it up and started playing it. It is sooo much fun. GNO everyone!!!
So then we got ready and headed out to Bo's moms house. We waited for everyone to get there and then we did presents and had dinner. It was a great day.
We finally headed home (way past the boys 7 pm bedtime) and played some more Guitar Hero.
So today, we had Christmas with my family. We get up and I make breakfast and I go to check my phone and noticed that my mom had called me the night before, so i called her back and she asked if we were going over there for breakfast @ 9. Uh, we are eating breakfast right now, was my response. Noone had told me that we were going to have breakfast. So we just finished our breakfast and got ready, then headed over to my parents house. We had creamed eggs on toast and juice. Then got busy and opened the presents. All the kids got lots of fun stuff to play with. I got a "Team Edward" t-shirt(which I LOVE) and some ink for my printer(so I dont use all my parents ink) I got a new mixer(I've only had a hand mixer the past few years, so I am really excited about that) got a new addition to my nativity and other things, (I cant think right now, it's late and I'm tired)
we had a good day. Then when I came home I remembered that I am supposed to give Sharing Time tomorrow. YIKES!!! Talk about putting it off to the last minute. When I got home today I was feeling really sick to my stomach and my house was crazy. 3 of my sisters kids came over and they wanted help playing with and putting together Coltin and Conner's new toys. I was about to go crazy when I called my sis and told her to come and get her kids.
I tried to take a nap on the couch, but the boys wouldnt let me. So I got up and made them dinner, then Bo comes home and he is sick too(flu like symptoms) I've kinda been starting to feel it too. I chugged down about a half a container of O.J tonight while preparing my sharing time.
Ok. the book- My mom got all the married kids this book(that I HIGHLY recomend getting- before NEXT Christmas) It's called "The Elf on the Shelf" It comes with this little Elf that you and your family get to name after you read the book. It talks about how Santa can't really see you,so he sends down his elf to watch you. At night time while the kids are sleeping, he magically flys to the North Pole to report to Santa how the kids were throughout the day. And then when the kids wake up in the morning, the elf is in a different spot. Sometimes your elf can"magically" move to different spots around the house throughout the day, to make sure the kids are always being good. It worked wonders for my kids. Esp. Coltin.
OK. I got to go now. It's almost 11 and I have to get up super early to go to ward council and then church directly afterwards, all to come home to a house full of sickos. Seriously. (all 3 of my boys are sick or have colds) NOT FUN!!!
Hope all you had a wonderful Christmas and have a FABULOUS New Year!!!

Carlie, sounds like you guys are busy!! It seems like you had a great Christmas though. Spencer got some weird stomach flu throw-up that lasted 8 hours a few days ago, and Lily had it yesterday. I guess it's going around, but I hope we're out of the woods now. Merry Christmas!
Hey we have the Elf of the Shelf too and I LOVE it! Hope you are all feeling better soon!
My bro-in-law Craig Standage has been in Sao Paulo, Brazil for about a month. He's going to Campinas too!!!!
Glad you had a good Christmas!
